It’s a good idea to make the most of your freetime, whatever you're doing there is always likely to be sometime during the week that you could count as ‘freetime’. If you use it by joining a local club, playing a sport, doing some volunteering or pursuing a hobby, you’ll benefit.

You could meet new people and make friends, you’ll learn new things and skills, you’ll probably be fitter and life could be more interesting! Here are a few examples of the sorts of things that you could get involved in locally – and there will be plenty of others too.

The 'Big Society' which the government is expecting to support and possibly deliver local services may also be a way that you can get involved.

You can use the library in your Connexions Centre too as it has information for you to read or take away. Visit Freetime weblinx for more useful websites
