'The world is changing fast. In spite of the current economic difficulties faced by all countries around the world, the global economy is expected to double in size by 2030, creating up to a billion new jobs in high skill industries, shaped by faster technology and communications, low carbon industries and greater resource efficiency. Markets and industries which have not yet been imagined will emerge'
Quality, Choice and Aspiration - A strategy for young people's information advice and guidance
Up-to-date LMI has always been central to the provision of high quality careers education, information, advice and guidance. However, the introduction of the 14-19 reforms and development of the 'pathways' at 14, 16 and 18 have brought the significance of LMI into sharper focus. Young people need to have high quality, up to date and impartial information about the labour market and opportunities within it to inform their decision making and career planning.
Inspiring IAG is a quality award for Greater Manchester which focuses on careers education, information, advice and guidance (CE/IAG).
It has been written by Connexions partnerships across Greater Manchester as a successor to the Award for Connexions Excellence (ACE).
This award is for all organisations that work with young people; Schools, colleges, and other learning providers, as well as voluntary and community sectors.
