It's possible to work abroad, but you will need a work related qualification and experience of working in the UK before you're likely to satisfy the entry requirements of the country you would like to work in.

  • Work permits - for most countries outside of the European Union, you'll need a work permit or entry visa that allows you to look for employment, and unless you have some skill needed by the country you want to go to, your chances of getting a work permit won't be good.
  • Working in the EU – you don't need a work permit to work within the EU, though what you can do will depend on your qualifications.
  • Europass - has been developed to help people make their skills and qualifications understood and to be able to move around Europe.
  • Directgov has useful information too.

work and training_01You can use the library in your Connexions Centre too as it has information for you to read or take away.
